About: New York City is currently experiencing rates of homelessness that have not been seen since the Great Depression. With more than 60,000 homeless individuals currently in the city, there is a dire need for both action and understanding of the situation and its newest roots. Recognizing that homelessness is such a complex issue, this trip aims to provide a more complete understanding of these complexities through hands-on service and communication with individuals in related fields.  To supplement this, participants will enjoy a variety of cultural activities to expand perspectives and bring them into a new a dimension.
